Great Riding Weather
I hope I wasn’t the only one that got out and rode over the last few days. I managed to burn up the better portion of a tank of gas this week. I also managed to ride routes to the BRAT STOP for our May 9th ride and lunch. Should be a very good day if the weather cooperates. I can’t wait to get out on the road with everyone together.

WHAT IS A LEGION RIDER
It would seem that the American Legion Riders are not fully understood. I believe that some people think that the Riders are a separate organization within the American Legion. To best illistrate what a Rider is let me tell you who worked at our Post booth for the Grant High School Expo:
There were five people present that day. One was an SAL member and four were Legionairres. Simple math so far but, there were also four Legion Riders there that day. As I said, there were only five people present. So, Legion Riders are the members of the American Legion, SAL and Auxiliary. We are not a separate entity but another activity within the Post that is easily recognized by the community. Legion Riders promote American Legion activities and causes and raise funds for veterans assistance at all levels of the American Legion.
American Legion Riders are just part of the Legion family that enjoy a different mode of transportation and they use that passion for the American Legion.
